ForwardEdge ASIC Announces New CEO Appointment and Honors Retiring Leader

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 17, 2025 – ForwardEdge ASIC, an innovator in advanced semiconductor solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Ferrante as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 17, 2025.

Ferrante succeeds Brian Sutterfield, whose vision and leadership was pivotal in establishing ForwardEdge ASIC in 2022. The entire ForwardEdge ASIC team expresses deep gratitude to Sutterfield for his exceptional service and leadership, and wishes him a fulfilling and well-earned retirement.

Ferrante recently served as Wolfspeed’s Vice President of Worldwide Automotive Sales and Marketing, leveraging his expertise in silicon carbide semiconductors and power transformation to drive innovation and sustainability in electric vehicle manufacturing. His distinguished career includes key roles at Intel, where he led divisions focused on foundry services, military, aerospace and government initiatives, showcasing his strategic impact across the semiconductor and automotive industries. As a passionate advocate for the U.S. advanced manufacturing supply chain, Ferrante advised policymakers on initiatives like SHIP, RAMP-C and the CHIPS Act, shaping resilient, sustainable supply chains that drive the future of American chip manufacturing. Ferrante will be relocating to St. Paul, Minnesota from California, and is eager to start as the new CEO and work with the team.

Ferrante will position ForwardEdge ASIC for continued growth and technological advancements. Under his leadership, the company plans to expand its market presence, drive innovation and strengthen partnerships within the semiconductor industry.
