Frank Ferrante

Frank Ferrante

Chief Executive Officer

Since 2022, Frank Ferrante has served as Vice President of Worldwide Automotive Sales and Marketing at Wolfspeed, driving advancements in silicon carbide semiconductor technologies for electric vehicle manufacturing. Frank previously held leadership roles at Intel, overseeing critical semiconductor programs in foundry services, military aerospace, and government initiatives. With deep experience in strategic supply-chain resilience and advanced manufacturing, Frank actively advises policymakers on strengthening U.S. manufacturing infrastructure through initiatives such as the CHIPS Act, enhancing sustainability and innovation in American semiconductor manufacturing.

Derek Franklin

Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Derek applies his considerable expertise to mission and strategy execution, and alignment of all activities. Derek brings 12 years of Aerospace and Defense experience, most recently with Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. His responsibilities have included global Special Operations development efforts, Advanced Avionics hardware and software developments, special processing, and uncrewed ISR platforms and control stations. Derek’s specialties are program management, supply chain management, quality, contracting, and product execution and delivery.

Paul Voit

Paul brings more than 30 years of semiconductor engineering and technology leadership experience. Prior to ForwardEdge, Paul was the director of ASIC Engineering at Micron Technology, Inc. In that role, he led ASIC and system engineering teams in the development of ASIC, SoC, IP, and system designs. Paul will be leading the company’s efforts in research, ASIC development and technology, and driving innovation and product development.

Francine Panza

Francine Panza is an experienced executive with a proven track record of driving global business growth for a number of industry leaders. She oversees all revenue-generating activities at ForwardEdge, including sales, pricing, marketing and customer support. Prior positions include the CRO for IPivot Corp, CRO for Vaporstream, VP WW Sales at DB Networks, VP Financial Sales at Fortinet, Global Financial Sales Director at Juniper Networks and Sales Director (OD) NY Markets at Cisco Systems. Francine has a BS degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Manhattan College.

Adam is an Aerospace & Defense strategy and investment executive with over 19 years of experience in various finance and strategy roles across Lockheed Martin Corporation. He currently leads Lockheed Martin Evolve, and serves as Chairman of the Board of Astrotech Space Operations. His previous roles include Vice President and Head of Enterprise Strategy for the Lockheed Martin Space Business Area and Director of Lockheed Martin Corporate Development. Adam has a Master of Business Administration from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a baccalaureate in Finance from Colorado State University. Adam is a 2013 graduate of the FBI Washington Field Office (WFO) Citizen’s Academy, and an active member of the Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association.

Dr. Brent M. Segal

Dr. Brent Segal has been the Lockheed Martin Corporate Director, Collaboration since 2021, driving corporate collaborations between Lockheed Martin and commercial partners, and enhancing offerings and focusing research in cutting-edge domains for DoD. Dr. Segal previously served as Director, AI, Corporate Technology Scout, Advanced Research Programs and Chief Scientist at Lockheed Martin from 2008 to 2021, and has led Operations, R&D, Strategy, Venture Capital and M&A. Dr. Segal has a BA in Chemistry from Reed College, a PhD in Chemistry from Harvard, and MIT Sloan Certification in Sustainable Business Strategies.

Todd P. Hill

Over his 25-year career at Lockheed Martin, Todd Hill has held multiple executive leadership positions in finance spanning a large breadth of customers and products. Most recently, he has served as Vice President, CFO of Air Mobility and Maritime Missions in Marietta, GA. His prior experience includes Director, F-35 Production Business Management, F-35 Estimating Director, Aero Independent Cost Evaluation (ICE) Director, Air Mobility Business Ventures Estimating Senior Manager, and various ICE roles for the Lockheed Martin Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Science degree in Technical Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Dr. Mark T. Maybury

Dr. Mark Maybury leads efforts to commercialize dual-use products and services from research and development (R&D). His previous roles include Chief Scientist of the U.S. Air Force, Chief Technology and Chief Security Officer at MITRE and Director of the National Cybersecurity FFRDC. His past board service includes the Object Management Group, Air Force Scientific Advisory Board, Intelligence Science Board and Homeland Security S&T Advisory Committee. Dr. Maybury is a Fellow of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence. He received his BA in mathematics from College of the Holy Cross, and MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master of Philosophy in Computer Speech and Language Processing and Ph.D. in AI, both from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Dr. Anthony (Tony) DeSimone is Senior Vice President of Enterprise Engineering at Lockheed Martin, responsible for engineering execution across 44,000 engineers company-wide. He leads the implementation of a 1LMX model-based enterprise to enhance engineering excellence aligned with Lockheed Martin’s 21st Century Security® strategy. Previously, Tony served as VP of Engineering & Technology at Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, guiding over 14,000 engineers in digital transformation and technology innovation. Recognized widely for technical leadership, Tony holds awards including the Missile Defense Agency’s Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Pathfinder Award. He earned his doctorate in Theoretical Physics from Drexel University and an MBA from William & Mary University.
